One dies in wall collapse
A person was killed and another two injured yesterday evening as a portion of Mohammadpur Model School and College's boundary wall fell on them at Gajnabi road in city's Mohammadpur area.
The deceased Mohammad Riaz, 40, resident of Geneva Camp at Mohammadpur, and the two others, whose identity could not be known immediately, were gossiping near the wall, said SI Shihab Uddin of Mohammadpur. Shihab said the school authorities dug a drain adjacent to the old wall, causing it to collapse.
