Domestic help dies from 'torture'
A minor domestic help died at Central Hospital in the city's Dhanmondi yesterday after allegedly being tortured by her employers.
Sultana Akhter Trisha, 8, daughter of Pitom Mia of Brahmanbaria was the help of Sohel Hossain and Fahmida of Sabujbagh for the last four months.
Police detained the couple in this connection.
SI Moniruzzaman of Sabujbagh quoting the hospital said Trisha was rushed to the hospital on Thursday evening with injury marks all over her body, including her sex organ. The couple identified Trisha as their daughter, he said.
The SI said Fahmida claimed that Trisha fell down in their bathroom two months back.
