Life and lifestyle of the ever-busy Purana Paltan of the city gets a new reason to be excited and thrilled, as KFC opened its ninth outlet there yesterday. Well-known for some historic events taking place there, Paltan has been a true icon of revolutions, said Akku Chowdhury, executive director of Transcom Foods Ltd. KFC now promises the people of this historic place a rhythm of traditions and an opportunity to tantalise taste buds with its secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices. Akku said they are overwhelmed to become a part of Paltan with KFC's new outlet. "I am sure the people of Paltan will make our effort worthwhile and welcome us warmly." The celebrities present on the launching ceremony were ecstatic about the new outlet in Purana Paltan. They said KFC would become an oasis for the hard working busy people in such a busy area of Paltan. KFC is the international restaurant chain opened its flagship outlet at Gulshan in 2006. Purna Paltan's is the eighth outlet of KFC in Dhaka including ones at Gulshan, Banani, Baily Road, Dhanmondi, New Eskaton, Mirpur and Laxmi Bazaar. The only outlet in Chittagong situates at Lalkhan Bazar. Transcom Foods Ltd, a concern of Transcom group, operates KFC and Pizza Hut in Bangladesh.
