Snatched cloths recovered, 2 held

Police recovered 76 rolls of snatched garment cloths and arrested two persons in the port city on Sunday. They are Badiul Alam, 36, and Nawab Ali, 50, who led mugging of the cloths of Meher Garments of Sagarika under Pahartali Police Station on April 11. Sources said acting on a tip-off, police conducted drives and arrested Badiul Alam and guard of a warehouse Nayeb Ali. Following a confessional statement, the cloths were recovered from another warehouse adjacent to the warehouse, sources said. Mentionable, a group of muggers snatched 89 rolls of cloths of Meher Garments on April 11 from Sagarika area. Police recovered 10 rolls of the cloths a few days back, said Babul, OC of the police station.
