CMP destroys huge quantity of drugs
Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) yesterday destroyed a huge quantity of drugs recovered from various places in the city last month.
CPM Commissioner Mohammad Abul Kashem inspected the destruction at city's Dampara Police Lines.
CMP sources said 4,296 bottles of phensidyl; 2,112 litres of wine; 78 bottles of foreign wine; 62 cans of beer; 13 bottles of reckodix syrup; 56 kilograms of hemp; and 1,265 pieces of yaba were destroyed.
Additional Commissioner of CMP Shafiqul Islam; Deputy Commissioners Mohammad Moinul Islam, Amena Begum and Kusum Dewan; Assistant Commissioners SM Tanvir Arafat, Naimul Islam and Engineer Hasan Chowdhury, Monjur Murshed were present.
