Woman killed by lawyer son
A lawyer hacked his mother to death and surrendered to Mirpur Police Station in the city yesterday.
Victim Rokhsana Begum, 45, was the wife of Ataur Rahman at West Shewrapara in Mirpur.
OC Kazi Wazed Ali quoting killer Habib Mughal, 28, said he hit his mother on the head with a brick while she was asleep in the evening.
Habib then locked her room on the first floor and surrendered to police, the OC said, adding that Habib told them that he killed her as her cooking always made him sick.
The OC said they detained Habib and sent a police team and they found the body lying on the bed.
