Cotton warehouse gutted
A cotton warehouse was burnt to ashes at Patiya upazila in Chittagong yesterday afternoon.
Sources said the warehouse at Abdur Sabur Road under Patiya Police Station is owned by Zakir Hossain of Kelishahar.
Patiya Sub-inspector Emdad Hossain suspected that the fire might have originated from cigarette fire.
Two fire-fighting units from Patiya fire service doused the blaze.
