Shaving of woman's hair protested
Bangladesh Mahila Parishad has strongly condemned and protested the forced shaving of hair of a housewife by fatwa issuers at Binahali of Adamdighi upazila in Bogra on Monday.
The organisation also demanded arrest of and exemplary punishment to the people responsible for the incident and urged the government to take effective measurers to stop issuing of illegal fatwa, says a press release.
Mahila Parishad said some bigots from a village arbitration issued a fatwa to shave off the head of a housewife at Binahali bringing false allegation of adultery against her.
