Road crashes kill 3
Three people were killed and seven others injured in separate road accidents in Gaibandha, Pabna and Brahmanbaria on Thursday and yesterday.
Our Gaibandha correspondent reports: At least a woman was killed and seven others were injured as a bus and a goods-laden truck collided head-on on Borga-Rangpur highway at Kalitoal yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Anwara Begum, 35, of village Dariyapur of Sadar upazila of the district.
The injured were admitted to Gobindaganj Health Complex.
Police seized both the vehicles but drivers and helpers of the vehicles fled away.
Our Pabna correspondent says: A motorcyclist was killed when a Dhaka-bound speedy bus hit the motorbike on Dhaka-Pabna highway at Ganguhati on Thursday.
The deceased is identified as Md Mamun Pramanik, 30, son of Hossain Pramanik of village Majgram of Santhia upazila.
Our Brahmanbaria correspondent adds: An eight-year-old girl was killed as a battery run auto-rickshaw hit her while she was crossing Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Bishaw road intersection in Sarail upazila on Thursday evening.
The deceased was identified as Sarifa Begum, daughter of Shishu Mia, of Betbaria village of Sadar upazila.
