Plight of marginal investors
Continuous downslide of the index has gripped the marginal investors with fear and frustration who still pack themselves up in different brokerage houses in the hope that the market will improve as per the assurance and initiatives taken by the government.
As a last straw to see the market gets its dynamism, the investors now come up with suggestions that they don't want the manipulators to be either punished or barred from doing business in the bourse. They now want the government to take immediate initiatives to bring them back to the bourse so that the manipulators, Banks and other financial houses invest money in the market to make it active again.
Government should also scrap omnibus account operated by the merchant banks and direct them to issue individual BO account to bring transparency and safeguard the interest of the investors. Government must be sincere to do everything to generate confidence among the marginal investors who have become penniless due to share market scam.
