Student kills himself in city
A class eight student of the city's Dholaipar High School committed suicide yesterday evening as his mother rebuked him due to poor performance in exams.
Victim Mohammad Manik, 14, hanged himself from a ceiling fan at his residence at East Dholaipar around 7:00pm.
Manik was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Victim's father Mohammad Hanif said Manik committed suicide as his mother got anger on him for poor performance in his first term examinations.
