New JUAAB body meets Japanese envoy
The newly elected executive committee members of Japanese University Alumni Association (JUAAB) along with the advisers met Japanese Ambassador Tamotsu Shinotsuka at his office at Baridhara in the city on Thursday.
JUAAB President Prof Dr Md Khurshed Alam Bhuiyan presents a flower bucket to the ambassador and expressed his confidence in maintaining the friendship and amity between the peoples of Bangladesh and Japan.
General Secretary Prof Dr Yahia Khandoker expressed grief and sorrow for the loss of lives and resources in Japan due to the recent earthquake and Tsunami devastations.
The JUAAB president also handed over a condolence message book and a cheque of Tk 3 lakh to the Japanese ambassador as a token donation for earthquake and Tsunami disaster in Japan.
