Accused still at large
Police are still to nab the three accused of Jan-e-Alam Babu murder case filed with Panchlaish Police Station in Chittagong on May 8.
Babu, son of Abul Hashem of Bhalua Bazar under Nangalcoat Police Station in Commilla, was stabbed to death allegedly by his friends after a quarrel over a cricket match in Rahman Nagar area under the police station on May 8.
Babu's father Abul Hashem filed the case accusing Resaiyat Ahmed Joy, 21, Atikur Rahman, 23, and Md Asif, 20, with the police station.
Sub-Inspector Sazzad Karim Khan of Panchlaish Police Station, also the investigation officer, yesterday said they are conducting drives in different possible areas to nab the accused.
“It has become difficult to locate the accused as they changed their mobile phone sets and SIM cards,” Sazzad said, adding that they probably fled from Chittagong.
He said their detective wings are working on it and they hope to nab them very soon.
