Buddha Purnima celebrated in Ctg
Buddha Purnima, the biggest religious festival of Buddhist community, was celebrated in much religious fervour and festively in the port city yesterday.
The day's programme began with lighting of lamps in the morning followed by a colourful peace rally from Nandankanan Buddhist temple.
To celebrate the occasion, people from the Buddhist community visited the different temples in the city such as Nandankanan Buddhist temple, Katalganj Nabapandit Vihar, Purnachar International Buddhist Monasteries, Sarbajanin Buddha Vihar and Bishwamoitry Buddha Vihar.
