Obituary
Begum Rawshan Ara Zobaida Khanam, wife of Justice TH Khan, former minister and senior lawyer of Bangladesh Supreme Court, breathed her last due to old age complications at Holly Family Hospital in the city yesterday at the age of 80, says a press release.
She left behind her three sons, one daughter, grand children, brothers and sisters.
Her namaz-e-janaza will be held at Minar Mosque, Tajmahal Road at Mohammadpur in the city after Zohr prayers today.
Rawshan Ara, mother of Afzal H Khan, former BNP lawmaker and former news editor of The Daily Star, will be laid to rest at Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals' Graveyard.
BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in a message expressed his deep condolence at the death of Rawshan Ara.
He also expressed sympathy to members of the bereaved family and prayed for salvation of the departed soul.
