Three seaports cautioned
Three maritime ports of the country have been advised to hoist cautionary signal no. 3 as deep convection is taking place over the north of the Bay.
The ports are of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, and Mongla.
Squally weather may affect the north and adjoining coastal areas of the county, said a special bulletin of Met Office in Dhaka.
All fishing boats and trawlers over north of the Bay have been advised to proceed with caution till further notice.
The Met Office bulletin says rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty or squally wind is likely to sweep a few places over Dhaka, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions and one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, and Sylhet divisions.
