Sultan Reza passes away
Sultan Reza, a businessman and an ex-marketing director of National Cooperative Business Association in Washington, DC, died of heart attack in Indian city of Kochi on May 26. He was 72, says a press release yesterday. Born in Calcutta on January 2, 1939, Sultan started career in jute business in mid-sixties after completing his studies. He along with family lived in Washington for over three decades and returned to Dhaka with his wife in 2009 after retirement. Sultan is survived by his siblings, wife, three daughters and grandchildren. His namaj-e-janaza will be held at Baridhara Jame Masjid (Dutabash Road) after Asr prayers today and then be buried at Banani graveyard. The family will hold a qulkhwani at the Masjid after Magrib prayers on Wednesday.
