3 held over CU shuttle train clash
Police arrested three Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists of Chittagong University (CU) unit yesterday on charge of their involvement in CU shuttle train compartment-based clashes at Cantonment Railway Station on April 30.
The arrestees are Golam Rasul and Mostafizur Rahman, fourth year students of public administration department; and Asabul Huq Jesi, a third year student of anthropology department.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Kalam Azad of Hathazari Police Station said the three are accused in a case filed by Saifuddin Khaled, a CU BCL activist, on May 1 with the police station following the clash.
