MiG-29 graft case verdict on June 1
A Dhaka court yesterday fixed June 1 for the delivery of judgment in the MiG-29 purchase graft case filed in 2001 against five accused including Air Marshal (Retd) Jamal Uddin Ahmed.
On completion of the arguments from the prosecution and defence, Judge Mohammad Abdul Majid of the Special Court for Dhaka Division yesterday set the date for the verdict.
The court had earlier recorded statements of 34 prosecution witnesses including the complainant and investigation officer of the case.
On August 20, 2008, a special court dealing with graft cases framed charges against Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina and five others.
