UPDF activist held after gunfight in Rangamati

Army men yesterday arrested an activist of UPDF and recovered 10 bullets and documents from him after a gunfight at remote Udoipur of Sajek in Bagaichhari upazila of Rangamati district. The arrestee, Nilaboron Chakma, 30, a 'captain' of UPDF, used to sell arms in Sajek area, he told interrogators after his arrest. An army team from Bagaihat zone, who raided Udoipur at 10:00am yesterday, got locked into an hour-long gunfight before they could destroy the UPDF criminals' den and arrest Nilaboron, police said.
