Tuku shown arrested
Sultan Salauddin Tuku, president of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), was shown arrested yesterday in another case filed for throwing cocktails on policemen on June 12 in the city's Paltan.
DB police Shahjahan, also IO of the case, submitted a 7-day remand prayer to interrogate Tuku.
Metropolitan Magistrate Shahriar Mahmud Adnan ordered to send Tuku to jail.
The court directed the jail authorities to provide him with proper treatment in jail custody if necessary and fixed July 19 for hearing on the remand prayer.
Tuku was produced before the court yesterday on completion of his three-day remand in connection with the July 1 petrol bomb attack targeting the vice-chancellor of Dhaka University.
