Four car lifters arrested
Police arrested four members of a car lifter gang, including a female member, in Shibpur area of Madhabpur upazila in Habiganj yesterday.
The arrestees are Parvez Anwar, Didar, Zebunnahar Juthi and Lalon Miah.
Quoting witnesses police said the gang was caught by locals and later handed over to police when the gang tried to kill the driver of a microbus and hijack the vehicle in guise of passengers while they were going to Sylhet after hire the microbus from Konabari microbus stand in Gazipur.
