Neighbour kills youth
A youth was killed by a neighbour in the city's Badda yesterday.
The deceased, identified as Uzzal Miah, 20, was a tea hawker from Kishoreganj district and used to live at Purba Para slum of Kuril in the capital, police said.
Anisul Islam, sub-inspector of Badda Police Station, said Babu, a neighbour of Uzzal, beat him up around 4:30pm leaving him dead on the spot.
Babu has gone into hiding.
Locals told the police that Babu claimed he beat up Uzzal as he used to gamble.
