Appointment of foreigners in multinational companies
There is a provision in the government rules for appointing foreign nationals which says if qualified and experienced personnel are not found in the host country only then a foreign national can be appointed.
At the time of the birth of Bangladesh almost all the multinational companies had Bangladeshi CEO and they led the company to prosperity. But nowadays we find that the rules regarding appointment of foreign nationals have been flouted, and foreign nationals are being appointed rampantly as CEOs and directors despite the availability of talented, qualified and experienced personnel in all spheres of company management. We hope the government will look into the matter.
