Mirsarai tragedy
Road accidents occur almost every day. The strange thing is that most of the accidents occur due to the carelessness of the drivers. They try to drive the vehicles at their sweet will violating the traffic rules. In most of the cases, the drivers manage to jump out of the vehicles sensing the imminent danger and flee away without thinking of the passengers. The Mirsarai tragedy is such an accident which took place due to the negligence of the driver concerned. The truck was carrying 60-65 children and adolescents. The truck was undoubtedly over-loaded. Not only that, according to one of the survivors of the truck accident, the driver while steering the truck was talking on the mobile phone which made him lose control over the steering and caused the death of about 50 school students. I don't know how the parents of the deceased are passing their times losing their dearest sons. As a teacher and father, I offer my deep condolence to the bereaved parents of Mirsarai, Chittagong.
