Girl found dead in city
Police recovered the body of an unidentified girl from a playground in the city's Pallabi area yesterday morning.
Police suspected that she might have been strangulated.
Sub-Inspector Alamgir of Pallabi Police Station said they recovered the body of the girl aged around 25 from a sack at Rustumpur Bheribadh around 11:00am.
The hands and legs were tied with ropes while the mouth was gagged with the scotch tape, said the SI.
He also suspected that the girl was killed elsewhere in the city and the body was dumped there sometime at night.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy. A case was filed with the police.
