Obituary
Abu Naser Chowdhury, a close associate of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, passed away at a hospital in Los Angeles in the US on Sunday after suffering from cancer for long. He was 84.
Naser, a former lawmaker and an organiser of the War of Liberation in 1971, left behind his wife, three sons and two daughters to mourn his death.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock over Naser's death.
