LDP slams case against Khaleda
Liberal Democratic Party President Oli Ahmad yesterday deplored the case recently filed against the BNP chairperson by the Anti-Corruption Commission.
Oli made the criticism during a brief speech before an iftar party he hosted in honour of politicians at the city's Sarina Hotel yesterday.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia attended the party.
The LDP chief said the case was filed in a bid to politically undermine the opposition leader and suppress the opposition.
Jamaat-e-Islami acting Ameer Mokbul Ahmed, BJP Chairman Andalib Rahman MP, IOJ Secretary General Abdul Latif Nezami, Bangladesh Kalyan Party Chairman Maj Gen (retd) Syed M Ibrahim, BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, and LDP Secretary General Prof Jahanara Begum were present, among others, at the iftar.
