4 snatchers arrested in Chittagong
Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police yesterday arrested four snatchers on charge of killing Mukta, a floating sex worker of Chittagong sea beach area, from different spots in the port city and recovered a dagger from their possession.
The arrestees are Mamunur Rashid, 19, Abdul Karim, 20, Zakir Hossain, 20, and Mochhaddek Anwar, 32.
Police said they hired her from the beach area but they slaughtered her with a dagger for snatching her mobile phone near the beach area on April 14.
Police recovered her body near the sea beach area on April 15.
A case was filed with Patenga Police Station in this connection accusing unknown criminals.
