Jahan Ali
Freedom fighter Shah Jahan Ali Moral passed away due to prolonged illness at a Khulna clinic early yesterday at the age of 65.
Jahan, son of Syed Ali Moral of Kanaidia village in Tala upazila, left behind his wife, a daughter and a son to mourn his death.
He was laid to rest with full state honours at his family graveyard at Kanaidia village yesterday, said family sources.
Food and Disaster Management Minister Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon and Parliamentary Standing Committee on Communications Ministry Chairman Engineer Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, on a visit to the flood affected upazila, rushed to Jahan's house.
They placed a wreath at the deceased's body, prayed for salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
