Crows die in Patuakhali
Crows in Patuakhali town are dyeing in large numbers.
Locals and district livestock officials said, over 150 crows died yesterday and the day before in Puran Bazar area in the town.
All of a sudden, the birds were seen falling from trees and dying after a short while, district livestock officer Abu Taher said.
He said two dead crows were sent to Barisal and Dhaka on Tuesday for laboratory test to ascertain the disease. The report is awaited.
He said locals were advised to dump dead crows under ground.
Some locals told this correspondent that carcasses of dead crows emit stinky smell.
