Immoral people are harmful for nation

Speakers at a workshop titled “Ethics, Morality and Youth Leadership Development” on the occasion of celebrating 40th anniversary of Jahangirnagar University (JU), said immoral people are harmful for a nation.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Sharif Enamul Kabir inaugurated the daylong workshop at Zahir Raihan auditorium on the campus yesterday.
Prof Hayat Mamud spoke as the chief guest with Dilara A Khan, chief executive officer of Ethics Club of Bangladesh, in the chair.
Ethics Club of Bangladesh organised the workshop and Scholars Bangladesh was the strategic partner.
Speakers said being more attentive youth leadership should explore among youths.
They said, “Practising ethics and morality, we have to develop ourselves as a good man.”
They said the main aspiration of education is not only getting a good job but also be a good man.
They urged the government to introduce ethical and moral education in primary level as well as all professional educations.
Prof Abdul Hannan Chowdhory, dean of School of Business of North South University, Prof Mamun Rashid, economist and director of Centre for Entrepreneurship Development of Brac Business School, Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed, director of Human Resources of Best Air, Dr M Mosharraf Hossain, chairman of Rapport Bangladesh Ltd, were present at the programme.
