Jamaat leader held in Ctg
Police arrested a Jamaat leader from his residence at Katgor in Patenga yesterday in connection with his suspected involvement in the party's violence on September 19.
Md Jane Alam, ameer of Patenga Thana Jamaat-e-Islami, is not accused in the first information report (FIR) of the case filed over the violence, but police suspect of his involvement in the incident, said Pantenga Police Station Officer-in-charge Prodip Kumar Das.
