Rokeya Rashid's anniversary of death today
Today is the first death anniversary of Rokeya Rashid, a retired officer of World Food Programme (WFP) and wife of Dr M Haroonur Rashid, a former secretary, says a press release. She was also the editor of the now defunct women's magazine Lalana. On the occasion, a doa mahfil will be held at her residence at House No-2, Road No-7A, Sector No-3 of Uttara in the city. Relatives, friends and well-wishers are requested to attend the programme and pray for salvation of the departed soul.
