Change way of thinking
Speakers urge teachers
Speakers at a discussion here yesterday said teachers should change their way of thinking.
They said teaching is a profession of pride that helps build a nation and plays a vital role in the country's social, economic as well as intellectual improvement.
They said the government should take initiatives for changing the living standard of the teachers.
Underprivileged Children's Educational Programme (UCEP) arranged the programme in association with Mass Signature Campaign at Theatre Institute in the port city. Civil Society Education Fund supported the programme.
Calling to the teachers to enjoy the profession the speakers stressed creating education-friendly environment for the tribal, challenged and rural children.
Nurjahan Shamim chaired the programme. Women Ward Councillor Rehena Begum Ranu, Elma Director Jesmin Sultana Paru and UCEP Divisional Coordinator Ramkrishna Paul spoke at the programme.
