Woman fails to get into train, dies
A woman died after she slipped off a moving train at Akkelpur Railway Station in Joypurhat yesterday, according to railway police.
The dead is Kalpana Begum, 40, wife of Md Abdul Barek of Phulbari town.
Stationmaster Md Abdul Barik said the accident occurred around 9:30am as the Rajshahi bound Barendra Express started leaving the station.
Kalpana was trying to embark the train but slipped into the ground. She succumbed her injures in Akkelpur Health Complex. Kalpana was bound for Rajshahi from Phulbari.
