Robbery in city house
A young woman was stabbed during a robbery at a house in the city's Jatrabari area in the early hours of yesterday.
Farhana Yasmin, 19, daughter of retired banker Delwar Hossain Mollah, was rushed to Central Hospital at Green Road in the city.
A gang of six robbers, one in mask, entered the house of Delwar by cutting the grill of a window about 3:00am and looted 50 tolas of gold ornament and Tk 3 lakh in cash, said the family members.
The robbers tied other members of the house as they came to rescue Farhana after hearing her scream. They decamped with the booties immediately.
A case was filed with Jatrabari Police Station.
