Four killed in road accidentsv

Four people were killed and five others injured in separate road accidents in Bogra, Gaibandha and Natore on Sunday and yesterday. Staff correspondent from Bogra reports: Two labourers were killed on the spot and five others injured when a Rangpur-bound speedy truck hit a standing truck from behind while a group of labourers were loading goods into the truck at Charmatha intersection in Bogra town yesterday. The deceased are Noor Alam and Rafique Miah. Of the injured, the truck driver was admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital as his condition was stated to be critical. Our Gaibandha correspondent says: An Imam of a mosque was killed under the wheel of a speedy truck while he was crossing the Rangpur-Bogra highway at Dhaperhat on Sunday. The deceased is Moulana Harun-ur-Rashid, Imam of Bhatgram Hafizia Madrasa and Mosque. Police arrested the driver of the truck with the truck. Our Natore correspondent adds: A six-year old girl was killed on the spot when a Dhaka-bound bus hit her from behind while she was crossing the road in Nayabazar area of Baraigram upazila yesterday. The deceased was Sumi Khatun, daughter of Ramzan Ali, of village Shreerampur of the upazila.
