Unauthorised Advertising

Seven realtors served notice

Staff Correspondent, Ctg
The Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) issued a show cause notice to seven real estate companies on Sunday for participating in a fair and advertising without having the authority's permission for selling plots and apartments. The companies, which were asked to reply within October 23 in this connection, took part in BD-RED housing fair at Chittagong Engineers Institution on October 12-15. CDA authorisation officer Md Monjur Hasan confirmed that the notice was sent and said the developers did not get any permission from the CDA to sell flat or plots. They violated the real estate law, he said, adding that if the companies fail to give satisfactory reply within October 23, the CDA would file case against them. The companies are Divine group, Shamim Real Estate, Chowdhury Group of Industries, Nazrul Chowdhury Assets, Grace Land Properties and Builders Ltd, Uni Village Assets, and Green Castle Properties. Sahidujjaman, executive officer, Divine Group, said they did not get any show cause notice from the CDA. Asked about the allegation, he said he is not authorised to say anything.
