Deal to set up double rail lines signed
Bangladesh railway will construct double rail lines from Laksam to Chinki Astana on the Dhaka-Chittagong railway under its Dhaka-Chittagong railway development project.
An agreement to this effect was signed yesterday among China Railway Materials Import and Export Company Ltd, Chendu Ranken Railway Construction Company Ltd and Bangladesh Max Automobile Products Ltd.
Bangladesh Railway Director General M Abu Taher, Chendu Ranken Railway Deputy Director Yang Ruo, Bangladesh Max Automobile Products Ltd Vice Manager Sarah Zhang and Chairman Engr Golam M Alamgir signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides at Rail Bhaban in the city.
