3 Shibir men arrested
Police arrested three Islami Chhatra Shibir activists from Katakhali area near Rajshahi University (RU) yesterday in connection with February 9 campus violence.
The arrestees were Manzur Rahman, a third year student of Arabic department of Rajshahi University, Hasanuzzaman, a fourth year student of Islamic History department of the university and Zahurul Islam, of Shampur village of Shibganj in Chapainawabganj.
Police said acting on a tip-off they arrested the Shibir activists after conducting a drive when they were holding a secret meeting in the area around 4:00am.
