Leaders of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad in Chittagong alleged that some influential businessmen and anti-liberation force are plotting to grab the Muktijoddha Bhaban (former Darul Fazal Market) in the port city. They said this at a meeting with Commerce Secretary Golam Hossain at Bangladesh Tea Board office in the port city yesterday, says a press release. The building is being used as the office of the organisation since 1972 through approval of the deputy commissioner (DC) of Chittagong, they informed the secretary. The leaders sought help to protect the building from the quarters. Md Sahaduddin, commander of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad, Chittagong district unit command, Bashir Ullah Mazumder, convener of Chittagong city unit command, Mozaffor Ahmed, joint convener of Chittagong city unit command, Sarwar Kamal Dulu, assistant commander of Chittagong district unit command and Mohammad Elias Mia, member of Chittagong city unit command were present at the meeting.
