New charge for JU TSC protested
Shangskritik Jot activists at Jahangirnagar University (JU) yesterday staged sit-in in front of TSC (Teacher-Student Center) and proctor office from 7:30am to 9:30am protesting JU authorities' new service charges against the use of its Zahir Raihan Auditorium and Selim Al Deen Muktamanch.
They submitted a four-point demand to JU authorities including cancellation of the new service charges, removal of proctor office and JU language learning centre from TSC building.
The programme was withdrawn after JU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Sharif Enamul Kabir's assurance to meet the demands.
