Fees for sending workers abroad re-fixed

The government has re-fixed fees for manpower agents to send workers abroad. The chief of the taskforce Mohammad Asadul Islam of the expatriates' welfare ministry fixed the fees at a meeting held in the ministry yesterday. Now manpower agents will be allowed to realise Tk 29,000 except plane fare from a Saudi Arabia going worker while Tk 25,000 except plane fare from a Malaysia and UAE going worker. Migration fees except plane fare will not cross Tk 40,000. Earlier, manpower agents could realise Tk 84,000 at best from a worker for sending abroad.
