One hit by train, dies
A fruit vendor was killed being hit by a train in the city's Jurain rail gate area yesterday.
Around 11:15am, a Kamalapur-bound train from Narayanganj hit Zafar Hawlader, 40, of Jurain.
Locals rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead around 1:30pm, said Monwar Hossain, assistant sub-inspector of Kamalapur GRP.
An unnatural death case was filed in this connection.
