Mirror staff held over 'deception'
Police last night arrested the manager of fashion magazine "Mirror" from Bangabandhu International Conference Centre for "deceiving" several thousand people by selling out concert tickets using the name of Pakistani musician Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
In the face of angry demonstration of the cheated buyers, police arrested Mirror's manager (sales and distribution) Sarwan Jahan Bhuiyan.
Harun-ur-Rashid, additional deputy commissioner of police (Tejgaon division), told The Daily Star that the tickets were sold at Tk 5,000-25,000 to around 5,000 people. Police quoted the organisers as telling the audience that Fateh Ali Khan could not come due to his illness.
