A grim picture of a broken family
On October 10, 2011, a tragic news was published in most of the dailies. An innocent schoolgirl named Dihan Mahjabin Ridita, a student of class-VII of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, committed suicide because of family problems. She was the only child of her educated parents.
She couldn't bear the pain of her parents' separation. As a father, I am deeply shocked at the incident. The number of these kinds of problem is rising in our society. A parent should not take part in such activities that jeopardise his/her family life. We should have a sense of propriety in our acts and conducts. We must know when to punish and when to love our children. Our unscrupulous acts may push them towards the wrong direction and destroy their own lives.
The most important thing is only wealth will not bring ultimate peace in a family, unless we follow the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Let us follow the teachings of the Prophet to create a happy family.
