Slings & Arrows
So the corrupt minister reings while the country watches... even the World Bank seems helpless and not aware that he is behind this deal as well. Nasim
Just look what happened to Gaddafi. Both the leading political parties will face the same consequences. People will rise in revolt against these corrupt political parties. Anonymous
No wonder why he is not fired in spite of so many hitches. He is a big raiser of money to be distributed to the higher ups. He is being used for earning money for the biwigs. Anonymous
Communications minister should talk on this issue. Newspapers are required to have power to raise any issue to the speaker of parliament, if any person refuses to provide data which is for public interest. Anonymous Expat
Although the communications minister is involved in so many acts of corruption, the PM will not fire him because he is the source of income for the party Raihan Sharif
Why isn't the 'powerful leader' of the AL named? It is obvious that the reporter knows the identity of this influence peddler, yet the paper won't name him. He can quote other sources within the party who have named him. Let the public as well as the ruling party grassroots cadres know about this man. Anonymous
All of these stories of corruption are not surprising to many but despite these open secrets, the people of Bangladesh will happily continue to pay their taxes so it can be pocketed by corrupt politicians. With a proud history of revolt against the wrong that goes back thousands of years, I wonder how the present Bengali people can be so naïve as not to protest it and worse still, elect another group of looters who take their turn to loot the country.
