Illegal structures demolished
Rajshahi district administration in an eviction drive yesterday demolished at least 35 structures on a piece of land of Baneswar union land office in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi.
Executive Magistrate Mobasserul Islam led the daylong drive.
According to officials of Puthia Upazila Nirbahi Officer's office, some 35 local businessmen had grabbed nearly 71 decimals of the land adjacent to the land office and set up shops.
Earlier, the grabbers were evicted for several times but they returned each time.
