Would the people know the names of the real killers? People of Bangladesh know the nature of police. Matiur Rahaman
Without PM's instruction they would not have come to investigate? Why police should always work under PM's instruction? Moushumy
Clearly, some high-ups are influencing the case, as there were attempts to pressure late Lokman's family not to file cases against the minister and party leaders. Ahsan Habib
I see an eerie similarity between the progresses of police investigation in this case and that of Ibrahim murder in which MP Shaon was implicated. Anonymous
Why the PM has to give special instruction when it is the job of the law enforcement agency to investigate? Mayen Uddin Tazim
This is a good initiative taken by the police officials concerned following the instruction of the Prime Minster. The nation wants to see that those who were involved in killing the late mayor are awarded exemplary punishment without any political bias. Slings & Arrows
It is from the highest government office that the pressure to protect minister Raju is coming. The DIGs are not correct about the government's intention to conduct a fair investigation. Why has Raju been asked to prove his innocence when the case is under police investigation? Hanif Mohammed
It is not Raju but the PM who has to prove now that she will not defend the suspects, will not put pressure on the police to divert the focus of the case to implicate innocent others and she will prove that she has the moral standard and courage to send one of her ministers to jail for a murder if proven. Muiyeen
In a country like ours, the ruling party people have the tendency to show that they are the best souls in the country. Ironically, many belonging to the ruling party have been found guilty and they got punishment. Unless and until we can ensure justice for all irrespective of their party affiliations, such killing will never stop. Dr Iftikhar-ul-Awwal
Why are the police wasting time if they have identified the murderers? What sort of a game is it? Is it to allow the criminals to flee or is the time being taken to finalise a political deal with the criminals? Why do we have to look towards the directive of the PM in all matters including the law and order issues? If that is so, why is the police department and the Home Ministry there? That governance is hopeless van be easily understood from this test case as well as the confusion created in Narayanganj mayoral polls recently. Anonymous Expat
The two additional inspectors generals of police might have been sent to hide the facts. They might have identified two killers who are either non-existent or they belong to BNP. The police should get the clue from the family of Lokman Hossain who already filed the case. The starting point of investigation should be Lokman's family who may know the inside story, not the outsiders who may not know anything. We shall come to know the suspected killers when police arrests them. Why are the 14 people who were implicated in the murder case are still at large? Mahmud
If the killers are identified, then they should be brought to justice as early as possible. Justice delayed is justice denied.
